Mise-en-scene and Location Ideas
The best location to take medium close up photos for a magazine cover would depend highly on the colour palette planned for use. for lighter fonts, something dark would be preferable. Any sort of black wall or large black canvas would work. Black is not required, but it would have to be significantly darker than the planned mast head and sideline colours. On campus, there are few places with black walls/canvases, but dark walls in classrooms are still viable.
If a darker palette of colours is going to be used, obviously the background would need to be lighter so the mast head and sidelines were visible. On campus, the white walls on the sides of the Ash building would be perfect as a background. Alternatively there is a white wall in the green room in Oak.
